Fact:
Livable, environmentally healthy, and sustainable communities cannot exist without successful small businesses.

To succeed, small business owners need courage, money, a smart business and marketing plan, support from local business leaders, government and a commitment from every one in the community to buy locally...all year round.

Economic Development Is Everyone's Business
and It Begins Right At Home.

To maintain sustainable, livable communities, we all need to support to small businesses 365 days a year, not just during tourist seasons and special holidays.

From Port Townsend to Paris, Queen Anne to Queenstown, Denver to Dublin, Victoria to Venice, it is the small businesses that most often define the place, its color, character and flavor. Small businesses give us a sense of community, make the place livable, convenient, friendly, and are necessary to the sustainability of our local economies.

But small businesses and communities can't survive on sales made during the tourist season or on special holidays. They need, and deserve, the support of local business and government leaders, and the entire community, 356 days a year. There are exciting "buy-local" programs being adopted by cities and independent business associations around the country. Much of the credit goes to organizations like BALLE and Sustainable Connections in Bellingham, Washington. To learn more about these and other innovative leaders and programs, visit Resources.

Our contributiuon is Think Global & Buy Local and is the second "buy-local" campaign we have developed for small businesses in the past 15 years. We chose "think global" because though we may "buy-local" from hometown businesses, but more and more, we also need to reach out and help other emerging small businesses and mirocenterprises in developing regions around the world. We all benefit when business owners have the skill and knowledge they need to achieve generate revenues and build sustainable economies in their communities.

To support this effort, we provide a complimentary Think Global & Buy Local decal/sticker to participants of our 90-Minute Marketing Workshop.

NOTE: Use of the Think Global & Buy Local program beyond display of the complimentary stickers or decals requires permission by Small Business Marketing Partners-Graf-Hoke, Inc. Expanded use of the program is available for purchase at a reasonable charge to larger organizations. For additional information, please contact Patricia Graf-Hoke.
